Matt 20:28
"just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Jesus said this as he explained His requirement of service in response to Zebedees' mother asking to place her two sons closest to Him. This is in contrast to the world's view of service and stature. From Jesus' point of view, being in His service means to serve others totally, even at the expense of ourselves, forgoing any glory, recognition and gratitude.
Paul is a great example to this. Having been the great persecutor of the followers of Yshua, he was totally turned around. In his service to Yshua, he became a servant to others so that they could be won over for Christ.
