John 16:23
“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
When our Lord Yshua was with His disciples, He provided everything they need. The provisions that people gave to Yshua would extend to his travelling companion-disciples. Also other people could come to see Him in person. But once He was ascended, He promised the people that they God the Father will provide for them. All they need to do is to ask in His name, the name of Yshua. Though Yshua has left the Earth, He has not abandoned His followers. In fact the greatest gift to His followers after He left, is the Holy Spirit himself.
