Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do...
As with the other recent passages, it is clear that the thing that God expected us to ask here are not just the things for our own needs. In fact, it mostly deal requests which are in God's will. This is not like God is making us ask what He wants. When the believers mature in Christ, and become more like Him, then their needs are also aligned with that of God's. A few of those needs will be to spread the gospel, to minister and to help those who are in need. For these, God will not hold back.
